Piotr in Airbnb Brooklyn Half 2016

Last Saturday, more than 27,000 runners raced 13.1 miles through beautiful Brooklyn – in the largest half-marathon in the country — the Airbnb Brooklyn Half.

This year the biggest half marathon in the country, with over 27,000 finishers each year, sold out in record time of 52 minutes. Among
finishers was Xomox’s one and only Piotr Swiderski, who finished 3076th out of 27,409 runners.

The course started near the Brooklyn Museum, went around Grand Army Plaza and Prospect Park with a long stretch down Ocean Parkway and ended up on the Coney Island boardwalk.

The first male across the finish was Ayele Megersa Feisa, in 1:04:22. Abu Kebede Diriba, followed in 1:04:38 and Harbert Okuti, was third in 1:04:41.
Caroline Lefrak, finished first on the women’s side in 1:14:45, Esther Erb Atkins, second in 1:14:50, and Jane Vongvorachoti, third in 1:15:13.

Piotr finished 3076th of 27,409 runners, and 304th among 2,947 runners in his age group.
