Race started near the Brooklyn Museum and run the first couple of miles past the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and around Brooklyn’s Grand Army Plaza before entering Prospect Park. After a loop around the park, continued onto Ocean Parkway and toward Brooklyn’s world-famous Coney Island to finish on the boardwalk. The course was mainly flat, temperature of 58 degrees F, 67% humidity, and wind NW 10 mph.

It was a beautiful day to run, most of the participants agreed, although it was quite chilly at the beginning. Scenery along the course was often admired as well as the emotions that accompanied especially the first-time-runners at the finish line on Coney Island’s Boardwalk.

For the first time, MCU Park was open to runners and spectators for the After Party of the Brooklyn Half, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friends and family reunited with runners to enjoy food, beer, live music and entertainment.
