Schuyler in Hamptons Half-Marathon

Over 2000 running enthusiasts gathered on a beautiful morning of Saturday September 26th for the annual Hamptons Marathon and Half-Marathon. The event was a charity race to benefit local East Hampton charities. The Hamptons Half-Marathon course covers some of the most beautiful terrain on Long Island’s East End.

The race began at 8 a.m. in Springs and followed a rolling, wooded course through Amagansett and Napeague and back. Among the runners was Xomox’s one and only – Schuyler Hill, who ran her very first half-marathon to support the Marafan Foundation.

With a time of 2 hours, 39 minutes, and 7 seconds, Steve Tranter, 36, of New York City was the winner in Hamptons Marathon. Kelly Vaughan, 30, was the top female finisher and ninth over all, crossing at 3:07.

In half-marathon, Peter Bartlet, 28, of New York City, finished first in 35:59 and Margaret McMahon, 49, of New York City, with a 40:41 was the women’s winner.
